Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Review

First Impressions:

(More coming soon as I transition my content from Youtube.)

So I get asked this question quite a lot. Would you recommend the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 for school, or would you recommend getting an iPad or something else?

Of all the tablets available right now, if I were to only be able to get one tablet, it would definitely be the New iPad (or iPad 3). However, if you want the best handwritten notes experience available on a tablet, the Galaxy Note 10.1 is the best combination for the starting price.

Why get the Galaxy Note 10.1 for school?

  • Android OS
  • Side-by-side multitasking built-in for certain built-in applications
  • Electronic handwritten note taking
  • Near pin-point stylus precision (yay Wacom!)
  • Great for math, science and engineering, and learning complex languages
  • Better for artists who need the precision of the active stylus

Why not get the Galaxy Note 10.1 for school?

  • iPad is better overall, particularly the screen
  • Not many applications take advantage of the Wacom Active digitizer on the Note 10.1
  • More tablet optimized school applications on the iPad
  • More text books and educational resources available on iPad
  • Apple iOS
  • Windows 8 tablets coming soon, capable of running full windows 8 and some support both Wacom active digitizer and touch
