Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatch comes in 6 colors, all priced at the same launch price of $299.99. It only works with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and the Samsung Galaxy S4 right now, but it's supposedly going to be supported by other Samsung phones (such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 2) in the coming weeks.

Honestly, I wasn't all that interested in the watch, partly based on some early reviews. (David Pogue gave it a scathing review.) I read that it will notify you of an email, but you still have to reach for your phone to read it, and the watch dies after a day of use - which adds yet another thing to charge.

But then I saw some Samsung Galaxy Gear commercials and it worked! I got more interested in the watch after watching them.

What's particularly interesting to me, and could be useful is actually using the watch as a speakerphone. Now that I can use in a pinch for a quick message here and there. If I get a review unit, you can expect to see it in my gadget review section next month.
