Equil JOT Smart Pen for iOS, OSX, Windows

I admit to only finding out about this morning; and only because I have been browsing Amazon's Black Friday deals. It looks really impressive in the demonstration and videos.

However, I see a few problems with it for me.

I would tend to want to use this a lot in meetings, and on the go as my Every Day Carry. I can't imagine myself grabbing the pen, setting up the receiver, and opening up the app on my iDevice, synching, then writing. By that time, I might as well grab my Galaxy Note and jot the note.

Still, for creatives like some of you out there that do a lot of sketching and want to digitize on real paper, this year has gotten a lot more interesting with so many chocies now.

Off the top of my head, there's the Livescribe series of pens, Intuos Creative Stylus, Jot Pens, Galaxy Note Tablets, Note phablets, and the recently announced wooden crayon looking stylus by the folks at 53, called Pencil.
