If that tube looks familiar to you, its because it looks very similar to their Netatmo Weather Station for Smartphones. Its a great product, but pretty niche for people that want to monitor or be more aware of their environmental conditions.

The Netatmo camera is also about monitoring environmental conditions but does one very important thing - it recognizes people. When they come, when they go, and when there is a stranger and alerts you (if you want it to). This can be very useful information to have without having to look at a video stream to determine.

Also, tags to alert of movement can be added to monitor doors opening, windows opening, mail arrival, etc.
