Amazon's Echo Tap Pre-Order

Amazon's Echo device is one of the few things that I use every, single day.  From turning on lights, appliances, alarms, and timers in the day, to playing my 'sleeping' playlist at night.  Its also how I consume my news in the morning before I start my work.

Tap is the to-go version.  Well worth trying out even if you just want a bluetooth speaker, but get the intelligence of a personal assistant and DJ to go (linked with Pandora, Amazon Prime Music, etc).

 I saw this technology and posted about it 4 years ago now its here! Which makes it the perfect time (holidays), and place (amazon) to try out this awesome technology that will make your wallet be slimmer!  Would make a great gift for just about anybody who has a fat wallet.

Apple iMac with Retina 5K display at Amazon for pre-order at standard $2499, tax in most states but free shipping with prime plus options for a 4 year warranty for just $120.59 more. Upgrade the RAM yourself with the Crucial 16GB Kit (8GBx2), buy two for 32 GB. (vs paying $600! to upgrade from Apple).

The i7 Quadcore looks good at $250 more, but is currently only available through Apple.  Give it a few months and that configuration should be available elsewhere.

I saw some pretty decent trade-in prices for iPhones as credit from Amazon.com.  The quoted prices you get lock in even after the anticipated iPhone 6 announcment in less than a week from now.  
So if you think there is a chance you will want to upgrade, its best you lock in the trade-in price now and decide later.  No obligation to trade-in / sell if you change your mind.  

Amazon Has Severed Ties - It's a Sad Day for Lots of Small Businesses
