iPad 3 Announced - Same as iPad 2, But Better Display, Faster and a Little Thicker

The major upgrades over the iPad 2 are:

  • Quadcore (claimed noticeably faster than competition with A5x processor)
  • Retina Display (I'm betting this is going to be the highest resolution display anybody is going to have for a while)
  • 4G Enabled - Fast, fast, fast
  • Camera - 5 MP, but same optics as iPhone 4S

You get all that at the same starting price the iPad2 started out with.  Not a bad deal!

If you want an iPad 2, they're now $100 cheaper.
