I was at UGREEN’s Smart Living launch at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. The headline wasn’t another cable or charger — it was HomeAgent, a local-first AI hub meant to run storage, cameras, and smart-home control inside the house. Home cameras that keep the good moments

UGREEN’s pitch against normal home cameras: most of them are built for break-ins and alerts, and everyday footage gets overwritten. Kids, pets, packages, quiet Tuesdays gone before you realize you wanted them.

HomeAgent is built to flip that. Same cameras and local storage, but the system is supposed to:

Activate — turn photos, video, and files into stuff you can search
Stay proactive — help without a long prompt every time
Stay trusted — keep processing local so you’re not shipping the whole house to the cloud

Talk to the home through Uliya (Hi Uliya”). Examples from the briefing: open curtains, find the dog, check who was at the door at 3 PM, ask if a package arrived, or get notified if a baby is crying. Voice can also drive Matter devices and ONVIF cameras on the local network.

AI Highlights stood out for me: HomeAgent can pull meaningful moments from live footage and your photo library, auto-cut highlight videos, and push them to Gallery LCD smart frames. That’s a different job than security camera.”

Local AI is meant to recognize people, vehicles, pets, and packages, surface unusual activity, summarize events, and let you keyword-search recordings — instead of scrubbing hours of video.

## The local brain: HA100 and HA100 Pro and HA100 MASTER

HomeAgent combines on-device AI with NAS-style storage and device control. UGREEN’s stack runs on **UGOS Pro** (Linux-based). Core storage, security, file management, and smart-home control can run on the LAN with **no monthly storage fee**. Internet is still needed for account setup, model download, remote access, and updates.

Three hubs:

- **HA100** — everyday local storage, smart security, and basic whole-home control. Built on the **RK3588** platform.

- **HA100 Pro** — more AI headroom for deeper voice understanding, multi-device orchestration, and heavier workloads. **CIX-CP8180(P1)** platform with **32GB LPDDR5**, plus faster networking (**10GbE** called out for fat local transfers and camera footage).

- HA100 Master — this one has the NVIDIA powered AI. Up to 2,070 TFLOPS (FP4, Sparse). 128GB Memory (Shared with NPU), 256GB M.2 NVMe SSD and 10GbE. This one retails $19,999!

All are meant to talk to UGREEN cameras, the **Smart Speaker for Uliya**, Gallery frames, and Matter-compatible third-party gear.

Bottom line for me

HomeAgent is the big swing: private local AI, cameras that keep memories, NAS storage without a camera subscription treadmill, and one system instead of a junk drawer of gadgets. MagFlow is UGREEN still doing what they’re known for — charging — with heat as the actual problem they’re solving.

I’m curious how HomeAgent feels day to day once the Kickstarter units ship. The demo pitch is strong. The proof will be whether Uliya, AI Highlights, and local search stay useful after the stadium lights go down.
