Freedom Pop Hotspot

A few weeks ago, I bought into the Freedom Pop free 500 Mb hotspot device.  It took about 2 weeks to get it, and I only really started using it a few days ago.  Look how much I got 'charged' one day of turning it on.

This was from light web surfing and mostly doing work - does something smell fishy to you?  It does to me.

I was working on Office Documents Mostly... Does this look right to you?Anyway, they automatically start charging 'top offs' at $10 per gb.  I've already got charged $30 on a 'free' plan just testing the service out.

If I were you, I'd stay away from Freedom Pop.  But if you are wanting to try it out, make sure you read their usage terms which pretty much teachs us that you can't get something for nothing (other than the $49/$99 fee plus shipping).

  1. Do things you used to do when you were younger.
  2. Exercise your brain.
  3. Exercise your body - 30 minutes of walking / fast walking a day is all it takes.
  4. Eat healthy.
  5. Drink plenty of water.
  6. Take your vitamins. 
  7. Relax / Meditate.
  8. Sleep well.

After reading all these books about improving your mind as you age, those 8 tips are the gist of it.  How you do it is up to you. The key thing is that you just start and incorporate all this into your daily life one small step at a time and make it a habit.

Arc Notebook - Update On What I Use

Yes, I have been using the Arc notebook system ever since I found the arc holepunch at Staples - that was the missing piece in the whole puzzle for me.  Since I play a lot of roles as an IT consultant and HIT consultant its great to be able to move pieces from one notebook to another as necessary.

This video shows my full size Arc notebook, (and what Staples Arc accessories I have in it) which I carry to board meetings, regular meetings, and just about everywhere in my ThinkTank Urban Disguise 60 bag.  The pen I keep attached is a Cross Tech 3 Multifunction Pen.  It's cheap and practical and more importantly, it fits the loop.  However, I typically use other pens and the Cross is just my 'backup.'

My current top choice(s) would be the google maps on Android (free) or TomTom for iPhone / iPad with subscriptions paid for traffic.

Hunger Games - Worth the Read (or Listen)

I only really heard about the series through a facebook post where a friend gave it an amazing review and rating, and she wasn't even finished with the book.

I've been having to drive a lot lately, but wanted to 'read' the book so I snatched the book up on Audible.  The reading and narration are excellent!  Well worth the price of free and it certainly makes navigating the LA and OC traffic actually exciting.

I haven't watched the movie, and don't intend to since I'm certain the book is better - (isn't it usually?).  Well, maybe when it comes out on netflix.
