VideoMaker Announces Their Best of CES
Here's what you can get right now (the rest will be out soon - typically Q1-Q2 of 2012).
CES 2012 Coverage - Day 1

I watched (no, listened mostly) to the Qualcomm keynote in the morning. Is it me, or does it seem like the video was not very well presented. Maybe it was the speaker, or the content? I just didn't feel the enthusiasm (even at 8:30 AM). Well, even the Jabbawockeez performance wasn't all that great... (yes there are quite a few celebs here).
CES 2012 Coverage - Day 0
Press line up for the Nokia Press Conference @ CES 2012
CES officially starts tomorrow January 10th, 2012. Day 0 is typically for the press conferences and early appointments with vendors and exhibitor final day setup.
This is the first time I've arrived this early for CES. There was no traffic on the freeway, no wait at the buffets, and generally no crazy traffic jams. That was nice for a change.
'Unlimited' Everything for $19.99 - Republic Wireless
Today marks the launch of a new assault against traditional wireless phone companies as we know it.
Republic wireless has introduced one plan to rule them all! OK, well not everyone, but for $19.99 you get everything you get unlimited everything as long as you stick to wifi most of the time.
How is this possible? It will route everything through your Wifi - and when you are out and about when there isn't any wifi, your phone will work through Sprint.
How is this possible? With UMA Technology. UMA, or Unlicensed Mobile Access is something that T-Mobile has been using for a while. This technology allows your phone to use your WiFi Access Point to use your internet access for data, phone calls, text messages through your Wifi. It's not completely new as it's been used by other carriers who don't have great reception everywhere - ie, the Microcell for AT&T.

The Roku 2 is now smaller, more energy efficient, with more channels, bluetooth for a game controller for now, and for the first time, introduces games such as Angry Birds! But, most importantly, for me, it has Hulu!
Amazon Has Severed Ties - It's a Sad Day for Lots of Small Businesses
Hello,
Unfortunately, Governor Brown has signed into law the bill that we emailed you about earlier today. As a result of this, contracts with all California residents participating in the Amazon Associates Program are terminated effective today, June 29, 2011. Those California residents will no longer receive advertising fees for sales referred to Amazon.com, Endless.com, MYHABIT.COM or SmallParts.com. Please be assured that all qualifying advertising fees earned before today will be processed and paid in full in accordance with the regular payment schedule.
You are receiving this email because our records indicate that you are a resident of California. If you are not currently a resident of California, or if you are relocating to another state in the near future, you can manage the details of your Associates account here. And if you relocate to another state in the near future please contact us for reinstatement into the Amazon Associates Program.
To avoid confusion, we would like to clarify that this development will only impact our ability to offer the Associates Program to California residents and will not affect your ability to purchase from Amazon.com, Endless.com, MYHABIT.COM orSmallParts.com.
We have enjoyed working with you and other California-based participants in the Amazon Associates Program and, if this situation is rectified, would very much welcome the opportunity to re-open our Associates Program to California residents. As mentioned before, we are continuing to work on alternative ways to help California residents monetize their websites and we will be sure to contact you when these become available.
Regards,
The Amazon Associates Team
