Its $199 on pre-order now, which is in-line with what their original DropCams used to sell for. Its waterproofing, and 25 foot cable should make it reasonably easy to set it up outdoors. Improvements in software will also come with the new NestCam release.

As many of you know, I am a huge fan of Amazon's Echo, also known as Alexa. Now, she comes in two different forms both of which are much more portable than the original. In this un-boxing you get to see firsthand what is like to undress both the new Amazon Echo Dot and the Amazon Echo Tap.

This year, they have added a few more products to the HomeKit ecosphere including iDevices Socket, Wall Switch, Dimmer Switch and Wall Outlet all of which enable iOS control, and monitoring and more importantly (for people like me), Siri voice control. The company claims that it uses up to 90% less water than a standard sprinkler-- a figure that does seem believable given that a lot of the speakers that I see in a neighborhood tend to sprinkle the water onto the sidewalk just as much as the grass.
Still, at $300 it seems a bit steep. I'd buy a few if they were hundred dollars piece. If I get my hands on one, I'll definitely let you know what I think.
