And unfortunately, its going to take months to get here. But because I typically like my iPhones naked for day to day use, and like battery based cases when I know I'm going out all day, this case (for $59 with this link for the next 15 days, its a referral link that saves you $10, and I get $10 off my case) should be worth the wait.
It adds a nice set of stereo speakers, active sound enhancements, batteries to extend and power it all, and a decent enough case to protect from 'bend-gate'. Of course I will have to put it through some tests and sound samples before I can make a final judgement call on it but the speaker / speakerphone enhancement is something I'm definitely looking forward to.

Press release follows:
I got a few good tips from presenter Michael Sweeney in the short 30 minutes he was presenting:
The Spot connect is a brand new product to be released next month that alerts people of your situation from just about anywhere in the world through satellite. You must have a service plan (like a phone) and there are additional services that you might want to tack on as well. What looks particularly interesting is the GEOS member benefit for the true adventurer completely backed by a facility that is nuclear bomb bunkered and running 24/7.

I've been a Logmein user for several years now. What initially got me into it was the FREE remote access that was easy to install, setup and use. It was first used as a backup to the standard RDP remote access, but now its the first place I go. I put on the hundreds of computers I support on it over the years and it has not let me down.
They made a great product even better by introducing the Logmein iPhone app
, which gave me even more flexibility. Now its not even essential for me to walk around with a small notebook to handle support requests.
I use logmein every day.
Anyway, check out the PCMag review here.
Apple's iphone page gives you the details set to be released June 19th!
Complete feature guide posted at gizmodo. I'm particularly interested in the speed upgrades in browsing, and faster bandwidth support, battery life, and finally voice control features.
I hope Apple will provide an upgrade path for people with the 3G.
