While I'm happy they're doing well, because obviously Taiwanese Bakery Cafes are awesome (I might be a bit biased), I'm seeing the quality of some of my favorite breads deteriorating.
First Impressions - Canon 70D DSLR
I started my photography career with an old, manual Contax with 50mm Carl Zeiss T* lens SLR in school. When I graduated onto my first DSLR in 2003 with the Canon 10D, went to the 1D series, skipped the 20D, 30D, 40D; got the 50D, but skipped the 60D. Now I have the newest 70D
This 70D is the first Canon in a while that really impresses me on almost all levels - its better than I expected.

First impressions are that it feels well made; aluminum, lightweight, decently well balanced. It doesn't feel uber-expensive, but it feels right in line with what I'd expect from a $99.99 pen when compared with the competition. Except that it comes with a nicer case, 3 nibs, and a wacom name.

Innovate Creative and Marketing Expo by PCM
Innovate is a creative and marketing expo backed by PCM (formerlly PC Mall). I found out about the event through Eventbrite, which handles a lot of events, ticketing and scheduling.
It was hosted this past Thursday at SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Overall, it was one of the better, non-technical expos that I've ever attended.

Garmin HUD May Be Safest GPS Add-on Yet
The Garmin H.U.D. (Heads Up Display) unit is available for pre-order with an estimated early October 2013 release for $149.99. You'll need Garmin's Navigon or StreetPilot on your device though - which runs about an extra $50 if you don't already have it.

Travel Video Monopod
Since I travel quite a bit, I want something lighter, and more compact than the venerable Manfrotto 561BHDV-1
over at Aliexpress, which basically is a storefront for most all made-in-China items.
Cheesycam seems to like it for travel.
The other option is to get the Manfrotto Pro 701 Fluid Video Mini Head
