Apple iMac with Retina 5K display
The i7 Quadcore looks good at $250 more, but is currently only available through Apple. Give it a few months and that configuration should be available elsewhere.

I Just Picked My First iPhone 6 Plus Case
And unfortunately, its going to take months to get here. But because I typically like my iPhones naked for day to day use, and like battery based cases when I know I'm going out all day, this case (for $59 with this link for the next 15 days, its a referral link that saves you $10, and I get $10 off my case) should be worth the wait.
It adds a nice set of stereo speakers, active sound enhancements, batteries to extend and power it all, and a decent enough case to protect from 'bend-gate'. Of course I will have to put it through some tests and sound samples before I can make a final judgement call on it but the speaker / speakerphone enhancement is something I'm definitely looking forward to.

Press release follows:
FlexSense
Really cool applications coming soon with this flex sense technology. I imagine a smartphone flexible case that will allow us to really see glances of stuff by flipping the cover over or around.
Ramen Fest!
Ramen Yokocho is here in San Jose this weekend and next weekend! This is probably the only chance I have this year to have Ramen directly from Japan to see how it compares with what we have here in the US. There are different ones per weekend so I may have to catch any I miss in LA next.

The new 4 is coming real soon. Every time I see one of these videos it reminds me to aspire to be more adventurous in life and maybe get a GoPro to document it.

Can You Spot the Fake Canon Accessory?
I must admit, some of them are a bit hard to tell. Most are difficult to tell on a smaller laptop monitor, but the magnifying glass helps. Click here to try for yourself.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM1 is Photographer's EDC
You know the saying? The best camera is the one you have with you... Well, this may just be the best camera!
This was announced at Photokina recently and it looks to be positioned as the photographer's Every Day Carry camera. A smartphone but with an awesome camera behind it with a truly enormous (by pocket camera standards) 1" sensor!
It does lack an optical zoom, but it is a smartphone after all. Full Android smartphone!
No word on if it will be released in the US, but we can all wish can't we?
Jetpack Makes Soldiers Run Fast!
Named 4MM (4 minute mile), it's one step closer to Iron Man for real applications on the battlefield.
Lock in Your iPhone 5/5s Prices Now for iPhone 6 Upgrade
I saw some pretty decent trade-in prices for iPhones as credit from Amazon.com. The quoted prices you get lock in even after the anticipated iPhone 6 announcment in less than a week from now.
So if you think there is a chance you will want to upgrade, its best you lock in the trade-in price now and decide later. No obligation to trade-in / sell if you change your mind.
